What we do with your data, and what we don't
Oosby holds the sort of thing you'd rather not have loose: renewal dates, account numbers, the odd photographed document. Here's where it goes.

How we get paid, since that's the real question
Oosby will be a paid product. That's the whole model, and it's why the rest of this page is possible to promise at all: with no advertising business to feed, there's nothing to be gained from knowing more about your household than the job needs. So nothing is sold, nobody is profiled, and there are no adverts at any price.
It reads the letter without learning whose it is
Forward an email and something has to read it to find the date, the amount, the reference number. Before that happens, the names, addresses and account numbers are swapped out for placeholders and swapped back afterwards, so the part doing the reading never sees whose letter it is.
It's the details we're after. Not you.
How we protect your data
Data storage
Your data lives in the UK. A few services, email processing among them, may route through the EU or US, held to the same standards.
Encryption
Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest. The fields worth protecting go further: your household unlocks those with a PIN, and we can't, because we don't hold the key. Lose both that and your recovery phrase and nobody gets back in — us included.
No passwords
Sign in with passkeys, Apple, or Google. No passwords means no passwords to steal.
Minimal access
Access to systems is strictly limited. Personal information is never used for testing or analytics.
No tracking scripts
No analytics, no tracking scripts, nothing recording what you do. This website counts visitors without cookies so we can see which pages are worth keeping; the app itself has nothing of the kind.
Regular backups
Backed up regularly and stored securely, so a bad day for a server isn't a bad day for you.
Our promise
We'll always tell you what information we hold and why.
We'll never sell, trade, or share your data with advertisers.
We'll only contact you about your account or services you've asked for.
